LITHUANIA | NAMUOS: ECLIPSE, CRESCENT & ENVELOPE
SOON AT THE STATE OF DESIGN, BERLIN 2017 FESTIVAL AS PART OF TOTAL CHANGE, NIEUWE GLOBAL GESTALTUNG #001Namuos is a Vilnius based design studio, owned by Rasa Kolesnikovaite, and creating and selling interior decoration accessories, all designed by Lithuanian designers, and mainly by Barbora Adamonytė-Keidūnė. Its mission is functionality, quality and simplicity, using natural colours and materials such as wood, bees wax, linen, leather, clay, and brass. The candlesticks and napkin tray combine ash and brass. The candlesticks Eclipse and Crescent can respectively hold tealights and taper candles, and are in the shape of the moon phases – therefore the name. The brass section of the candlestick for tealights can be used to regulate the intensity of the light and makes it more convenient to insert a candle. Once burning, the candle is reflected in the brass, which heightens the atmosphere. The Napkin tray Envelope can not just hold napkins but also documents. Uses outdoor, the brass part protects them from being blown away by the wind.
